Julio G - 30/03/2007

KDAY was first launched as an AM-station in 1983, but later moved on to FM. The modern day version of KDAY in Ontario and Los Angeles, California, was launched in the summer of 2004. Under their slogan “Hip-Hop Today and Back in the Day” they are the only true Urban Contemporary station(s) in their markets. We listened in to Julio G, who’s worked with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Xzibit, doing his drive-time show.

Ryan Cameron - 17/04/2007

So called "black music" keeps growing in Europe. Not surprisingly radio programmers look to the US for inspiration and methods on how to format their stations. Well, in Atlanta one of the most successful urban-formatted radio stations in the US is to be found. It started up as a country station back in the late 40s, but for the last 30 years it's been all about hip-hop and rnb. We listened in to drive time host Ryan Cameron for a leeson in urban.

Stian Røste - 21/05/2007

The internet proves to be one of the most important places for young people to get their first attempts at radio. Radioplanet is arguably one of the best such stations in Norway, run by young people from their bedrooms - but still formatted and with a set schedule. We listened in to the show "Oompa Lompa", a loose and chatty show to open the week.

 <itunes:subtitle>Radio 538/The Netherlands</itunes:subtitle>
